Lakeview RV & Motel

I live close to p/u water, juices or soda from time to time. Their hamburgers and French fries are very good I love taking my granddaughters swimming there in the summertime. The staff are very nice and helpful.

After the hurricane ripped through the Houston area July 8th, my family was left in the heat - along with a million other people. We don't have a generator, and hotels were full all the way to Tyler. My dad mentioned a camp ground/motel he's been staying at for over 20 years when he fishes Lake Sam Rayburn. I called, and the young man who answered the phone was super helpful answering all my questions and said they had some availability. We loaded up and headed to Zavalla! Check in was a breeze. The general store had what we needed, and the onsite restaurant/grill was affordable and had great food. The room was cold. TV, mini fridge, microwave, two beds, AC, and best of all - it was clean. Everyone we encountered from the store to the swimming pool to just walking around were friendly and nice. I'm really looking forward to going back when it's a more leisurely trip, exploring the area more, and having gear to go fishing. Very peaceful and not a lot of people or traffic. Which is what I like lol. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and you like fishing, you can't go wrong with Lakeview!

It's very peaceful, everyone minds their own picks up after themselves and nothing ever comes up missing. You can always take a walk anytime and even Walk to the lake if you wanna save gas. I live out and the staff are always country and very polite and helpful. The food is amazing. You should stop by for a weekend or even bring the RV and stay for a week. It's very reasonable. I've driven past here for years. Finally stayed in the renovated rooms across the street. Very nicely done. Nice BIG shower. Good beds. Security cameras on your TV ! We'll come stay again.

We love their big hamburgers and steakbugers. Great tasting. I have to cut mine in half eat half at lunch and the other half at supper. Not my husband or sons they eat it all plus the rest of my fries and their tarter tots. Always on empty.

Great place to stay for all things Sam Rayburn Lake. My only issue was a very small refrigerator that did not cool. Big bonus, Boat parking is by the door WITH electric available to charge up. Staff was very friendly with breakfast ready to go shortly after opening at 5 am.

I have never stayed here since we only live 15 min away but this is one of the best places in the area for some good hamburgers. They have good size (around a half pound) burger with some of the best seasoned fries or tater tots and you can get a drink to for all around 8 bucks. I can't find a place with better pricing or better burgers.
